Out of stock already.
Oh. Great thing I got mine already. The store had to order it and I waited like a week.

Is 7.0 latest update?
Anyone looking to get the outgoing 65" OLED A8F, this is the best time to get it.

Picture quality wise, having played around with both at home over the different sources, the Sony beats the LG B8 hands down. The colours are more natural and have more depth. Glad that the Sony promoter talked me into getting the Sony for the 65 inch.
Yes. Tried getting latest update (Oreo apparently) but got the message that its not available for now. Been pending since Feb apparently. Is 7.0 latest update?
Not sure if it's model dependent, mine is 8500F and it's still on 7.0, Sony did announced in Feb that 8.0 will be delayed.
Seem like Sony is very slow in terms of Android TV base Android update. Google already release Android TV based on v9.0 Pie when 8.0 Oreo still not available for Sony.Yes. Yes, I feel the same too. I read about the web page of the planned 8.0 update, it will alter the use of the remote control, change the interfaces that I have been familiar with.Is the update auto? Anyway is it a big deal to update? I usually don’t give a dam about updates as long as the tv works. Lol

Maybe the main feature of it is google play to let user add in apps. I find not much to play with on tv for me. I use it for MC tv programs and Youtube videos. The installed video player does not work as it should as it does not recognise the video name and play the next video in sequence, unlike my old LG tv which I dumped away. So it stopped using it to view recorded videos.
Especially when the interface gets laggy with more stuff put into it. Was just watching vids on how to speed the interface up by disabling the web /app features. If I want to stream I’d get an Apple TV or something.
Noted on all your feedback regarding Android based TV.
Will be getting Sony 49" X9000F after reading all the reviews, YouTube reviews and see it personally in stores and impt is it have FALD, and after comparison with LG 49" SK8000 and Samsung 49" RU8000, both also lack of FALD.
Now I am just waiting for June or Sept 2019 IT SHOW to buy. More or less settle, just need to see the final offer price and any additional freebies. The current price I see in store for 49" X9000F is $2179 from Gain City.
