The 1 flick controller should be free with the purchase of the tv. The free gift should be wireless keyboard and 3d glasses.
I got quoted $2649 with 3d glass, one flick controller and keyboard

Really ah...
Cosz when I asked, they didn't have keyboard until I asked. The free gift was 3d glasses, flick control and $350 further rebate to bring the price down from 3299 to 2649.

This is for the 55x8500c

I only know 2 retailers can offer the best pricing for Sony 2015 tv, One is mustafa and the other is best denki. I guess u need to find which one offer the best.

I got my tv in August at best denki after i shown the price from mustafa, They tried to match and the price still cant beat as low as mustafa, but they give me extra gifts like 4 x3d glasses and a wireless keyboard. With my may bank CC installment promotion. Price is almost the same. If i have buy my tv now, even more attractive as a free PS4 is given. But that normal lah, price drop as time goes by

I have both 800B and 600B. The 600B color runs quite a bit when you view from the side as compared to 800B. Side means 20-30% from the centre. Not those extreme side views.

Doesn't it belittle the "benefit" of their HDR if it's merely a software upgrade?
I thought so too: it kinda implies their HDR effect is algorithm-only.
Which are you referring to?

If u are talking about the trilluminous screen, it should be about the panel. The hardware need to be able to display the gamut levels even if the source isn't as good. It's like dell's ultrasharp monitors

X8500C does not have local dimming, not even edge lit ones, benefits from HDR will be extremely limited.

Support means it can playback HDR content thats all, since HDR is a new specification on the new Bluray and some streaming video formats. It also encompasses the update of HDMI 2.0 to 2.0a to support this feature.
