The website doesn't give info on "last updated on ...". So best to get from those who just bought or ask Sony Support direct.

It might drop even further in March. I bought my sony tv in august and from end nov ,the model comes with a free ps4.

Hi guys,

Don't need 3D so looking at either X8000C or X8300C in 49" ... anyone can advise if it is worth paying the additional $300 or so?

Also, I remember the famous shop in the West Coast area used to offer 5 years warranty while everyone else only gave 3 years ... any idea if they still give 5 years?

Consider going big, e.g. 47inch or above, especially if you are keen on getting a 4K model. 4K resolution is arriving, but it will probably be another few years before it is as common as 2K. Availability of 4K content is pretty scarce and the price is not exactly low right now; Getting it elsewhere (online) too might have a few caveats of its own (availability, storage and internet bandwidth). At the end of the day, 4K or not, it is a matter of preference (just like screen size), take a look at your budget, use of the TV and several other factors (as mentioned above, for example) and see if you can work it out.

Honestly to play ps4 u need at least 47 inch. The experience is really difference once u get a 47 inch to 55inch.
No kick to play on a 40 inch.
Might as well dun play.

I would say this is subjective.

Sit/stand closer and you have the same angle of view.

Since both r FHD model. Get the bigger size. Make yr mum happy too.
