Managed to hoot one 65X9500H at $2399 with free antenna.
Price is okay to me. 2 weeks old display set with 3 years warranty.

To everyone with 9500H, does it comes bundled with backlit remote?
Which BD u bought it from? And how did you come across it?

Very disappointed with Sony, bought a KD-55X8000H 3 years ago, just little over 3 years, the screen fail me with flickering and ghosting image. Have anybody encounter this before? Went to service centre and was quoted 900+! Call service hotline, they teach all sort testing via software setting but does not help. Quite sure is the hardware quality issue.

I always thought Sony is a high quality brand, after this experience, i might as well invest in a lower end brand with give 3 years warranty like TCL or Prism+. Do you guys have any recommendation?
Mine is like yours after 3 year +

Not that i deem something wrong jus never expect BD to advertise on Carousel as it is not for big retailers...
A lot of these salesmen from big retailers will post TV deals in Carousell. From there, once you PM them and discuss, they’ll reveal which store they are working for. These big retailers do not post it on Carousell directly.
Adiboy, can you share about that deal? Buy from which shop etc
As mentioned, I bought it in BD Ngee Ann City in March/April. $2399 few weeks old display set. It’ll be a hard to even get a new 9500H now tbh.

Look online eg Lazada, there are cheaper options which can support large screens :)

Bro, u r damn good. Actually Sony display set is a steal because they give 3 years warranty for display set also. Regardless whether they put there for 4 weeks or 20 weeks, bo taiji if you got 3 years warranty. Samsung display set only 1 year warranty. They know panel can’t last

Hard to compare like this, once you open TV backside we can consider "RMA" set already and no one wanna RMA anything on their new items.
Claiming those warranty panel, they will not use those top-notch screen panel as well.

Display set main point is the cheap price you can buy back that all.

Interesting, probably good for rooms with direct sunlight/better reflection handling etc but can see why to some it will be a turn off. What's the price of the A80J?

A correction to my earlier post -- the matte panel apparently only applies to the 55" and 65" A80J. I have taken delivery of the 77A80J and can confirm that the 77" model has a glossy panel which seems to provide as good reflection-diffusion as the A90J I have previously seen.

The 77A80J is indeed a major upgrade from the Sony FALD LCD TV it replaces in my living room. The biggest improvement is the presentation of shadow details -- in Netflix's Shadow and Bone, Episode 8, I can now see what's really going on during the fight scenes in the Void. The XR Processing also does a great job in providing a cleaner and sharper image with lower quality video content, and that was in comparison to the X1 Ultimate processing on my older TV. Sometimes excessive details can be a bad thing as I could clearly discern the imperfections (i.e. wrinkles, acne issues, etc.) on the faces of actors/actresses :p

An unexpected pleasant surprise is in the betterment of my Sound Bar. Without changing anything in the audio chain (same Sound Bar, same HDMI cable, connected to the eARC HDMI port) , everything now sounds a tad cleaner and less "shrill". HDMI hand-shaking has also been improved -- no longer need to toggle a few times between "TV Speaker" and "Audio System" modes to get the Sound Bar working after the TV boots up.

Interestingly, despite what was reported in the reviews which I believe were based on 55"/65" models of A80J, the 77 incher has built-in mic on-off switch as well as center speaker audio input that allows the acoustic audio surface to function as center speaker in a multichannel audio setup.
