I'm looking for 55" Oled tv and shortlisted to sony A8H and lg cx.

I prefer sony A8H but they dont have hdmi 2.1 port.

Should I consider lg cx instead of sony A8H since cx has hdmi 2.1.

The tv main purpose is for my ps5.

Any advice from all the tv experts here? Thanks.

If it’s mainly for your PS5, go with LG CX. It has ALLM, VRR and HDMI 2.1 that supports PS5 fully.

LG price probably slightly lower than sony qua. Sony tv always expensive than other brand.
That’s for sure since they have the best in class chip in the TV industry although LG OLED TV is more bang for bucks because LG offers HDMI 2.1 in all their HDMI ports.

Difference between the A80J and A90J is the XR OLED Contrast processor with A90J coming with the “Pro” moniker, slimmer bezel, as well as the backlit remote. A80J goes up to a maximum of 77” while A90J goes up to 83”

A90J also has more powerful sound amplification and can function as center channel speaker in a multi-channel audio setup.

Nonetheless, I need a 77" so no choice.

that’s what Sony claim but there are no specs on the performance on center speaker

For a basic HT system it may be ok. If your particular about sound then voice matching with the front speakers could be complicated ..
The main merits are in the visual aspect

Then you have no choice but to go with A80J. This is the line Sony release to combat with LG C1.

A90J will be brighter like the LG G1 EVO.

I heard that the A80J sets will available for demo in major retailers’ around mid-late Apr .. so there will sufficient time to decide if the pre-orders offers (expiring 3 May) are worthwhile.
