For me I find some occasional lag after charging. No idea why...

My Z3+ lags after charging I understand... but XZ? hmm

not only after, but during charging. But it gets much better if i were to switch off the Stamina manually.

last I heard, JP uses F8332 too..

No, they are on SO-01J (NTT Docomo), SOV34 (KDDI) or 601SO (Softbank). There is no F8332 JP firmware, you can use XperiFirm to check.

Will getting japan xz set get better android updates ?

I highly doubt so. Their firmwares are very much controlled by the telcos and come with lots of customizations. This just means that updates have to be reviewed and approved by the telcos, which takes a longer time.

Urm..don't think so...
Japan set are telco set, comes with ton of non-removable telco bloatware(including a nice telco launcher:s22:) and may not fully support our network(certain frequencies, volte/hdvoice..etc)..oh and you can't update your firmware unless you are connected to japan network as you can't do it through wi-fi...

Past docomo Aquos Phone Zeta user here.. :D

Best XZ are still the international unit, such as the unit sold in SG...which can be flashed to different countries if you can't wait...

Double tap to wake

For those who already flash the 7.0 nougat update, does it solve the problem with double tap to wake?

I got this phone last week and am running 6.01 Marshmallow. The double tap to wake function is extremely unreliable. Often i have to tap repeatedly 20 to 40 times before phone wakes up. Double tap to sleep works fine though.

Yes, it's definitely more responsive in the Nougat firmware.

Hi Guys of XZ,

Does anyone have issue transfering files from XZ - PC via the C type cable. My files are turning up all as 0 bytes. Thinking it is a sd card issue, tried to format and the same thing.

But when sd card is slot into the pc or laptop directly the files are intact with the correct files size.

Also any m1 user here? Have u got upgraded to Nougat?

Thanks

I had the same problem with you too, and the latest firmware did not exactly resolve it. I was using the full screen protector, and the glass did not evenly stick to the phone screen, making it worse. I then replaced the full screen tempered glass with a regular one. Though it doesn't cover the curved edges, the glass stuck evenly to the phone screen, and the double tap to wake situation improved and is a little more bearable than before. Again strangely, double tap to sleep worked perfectly so it is really weird.

Thanks, I hope so as I rely on the function quite a bit when my phone is mounted in the car holder, where the power button is blocked by the phone cradle. It's also very annoying to keep tapping non-stop in day-to-day use with no idea if the phone will respond. No such problem with my Z2 last time.

Thanks, I am using a matt plastic protector that is not full screen either, but problem still persist. I think it may be a problem with the screen going into deep sleep after turning off?

Yes, I have the exact same problem.

Tried using the built-in native storage browser, file commander and other file explorer apps also same problem even though these apps all work properly on my other phones. Changing SD card doesn't seem to help too. Moving files within internal storage, or SD card to internal storage works fine. But when you try to move files within SD card, or from internal storage to SD card, it shows up as 0 bytes when connected to computer.

So far I discovered that using the album app to move photos to different folders within SD card will work fine. But use any other app to move the same photos, and it will result in the 0 bytes error.

Where are you seeing the 0 bytes? I had transferred files such as videos and pictures from PC using the USB-C cable and they all works fine in my phone.

Edit: Just tested transferring from XZ to PC as well. All my files displayed the correct filesize. Transferring also no issue.

Double tap to wake works for me - well, sometimes I need to repeat the double tap once. I only use it when running with an armband so I am tapping through the transparent covering. Not using a screen protector though.

Yeap cos i lost quite a numbers of pictures due to this bug. Believe it is an Xperia issue when implementing the transfer type unlike the old Xperia which have a different transfer "link" so now the only way is to unmount and take the card out for me which is the safest.

Just wondering if it is a batch problem or many choose to remain silent on this matter as had ask else where and none reply.

Does every files you copied to your PC had this issue? I tried and they all transferred out fine. Filesize are correct as well. No 0 bytes.

Are you using the provided cable?

To replicate this problem, try using a file manager app or the built in Android browser to move files from one location in the SD card to another location within the SD card.

Then plug your phone into your computer and navigate to the new location where the files are pasted. They should show up as 0 bytes

Interesting, managed to replicate the issue. So you would have to had moved/copy the files within the SD card first before it show up as 0 bytes...

Weird that no one else found it...:s22:

I personally use OneDrive+Google Photo auto backup to my PC so it never occurred to me to move files around inside a phone...

Hope someone else with Nougat can try this test to see if it had been fixed...
