Deadlifts are moving nicely, didn't manage 5x5 for deadlifts as my CNS crashed out and couldn't move it for another rep! :) But still was probably a volume PR for deadlifts ...

Good numbers!

Have you thought about building up - 135/5, 137.5/5, 140/5, 142.5/5, 145/5?

Thank you. Yes I am probably doing a weekly 5x5 progression. I've hit 140 for 5x5 before, so hoping to exceed that with this block

This was hugely disappointing. In the weeks, leading up to this workout, I thought I had corrected some major issues with my deadlift, and I was hoping to break my previous plateaus here at 150x3. I thought that, at the very least, I could get one set of 5 reps, even if it wasn't a 5x5. Sadly, it wasn't to be, not sure why, maybe my set up was off, maybe I am about to fall sick with the flu, or maybe I am just crap at deadlifting. The two reps were horrendous form, very imbalanced with the left side lifting up first and also rotating externally. Just plain sucks.

OK now that I have finished emo-ing it looks like I have to rebuild my deadlift from scratch again. Back to the drawing board. sigh.

Was ill this week so am quite happy to manage to complete today... hopefully will get better next week

Doing barbell glute thrusts in the middle of the weights area takes some courage ! lol Anyway, I am focussing alot more on slowing down the deadlifts, taking each rep as a single. Am finding quite a bit of imbalance in my glute strength, even for the glute thrusts the barbell is quite uneven.

Lol "mock" - as the younger generation will say ...

I went to strength yard yesterday since it was a PH and my usual gym is closed. Half the guys there were deadlifting, and all of them were going way higher than me!

Meanwhile, Charcoalx doesn't seem to post here any longer, but on IG he is steaming ahead with very strong lifts! I think he will get his 140 bench by the end of the year, no prob with that at the rate he is going.

Singapore have lots of strong people nowadays .

Poverty deadlift continues, at least I think the "quality " of each rep is improving. Am stopping to reset each rep, instead of trying to leverage the floor bounce like in the past.

4 rep pr on bench though. Looks like the mini smolov over the last month is paying off
