Just put money into the esaver account on 11Apr, but until now, I do not know how much bonus interest they are giving me. Have to ask because I am transferring from POSB to this account, but I do not know if it is considered 'fresh fund'. I do a lot of transfer between these 2 accounts.
I am also thinking of transferring some more because of the bonus interest. If not considered 'fresh fund', no more transferring, I may even close this account.
Anyone can help me on this, thank you.

Why is it important to understand the maths on how Bonus Interest is calculated? You can trick the system to pay you more interest for the mth!

If your account existed since March:

What is ADB for the mth = total up end of day balance for the mth (ie 30 days for April) / 30

What is incremental ADB for April = ADB April less ADB for March (that's is why you should always keep zero ADB for March)

Bonus interest April = 3.75% * incremental ADB for April/365*30

So the more money you deposit in April, the higher your incremental ADB and BI. If you withdraw, incremental ADB will reduced so BI reduced.

So the trick is, got money towards end of mth, dump in. Withhold withdrawals towards end of mth if you need money, wait till beginning of mth.

Which bank account dun work this way? DBS Multiplier! (I know)
Read the above on how bonus interest is calculated.

Simple. If your account existed in Mar, what is your Mar ADB? This will not earn bonus interest.

Only incremental fresh funds ADB in April earn bonus interest. Fresh funds means you transfer money from other banks into esaver.

It is not about ADB, it is about how the bank consider as a 'fresh fund'. I transfer funds between POSB and StanChart. Earlier, (less than 30 days?) I could have transfered some money from StanChart to POSB. When depositing into this eSaver account, the money also comes from POSB (not the same amount, possibly). Is it still considered fresh fund?

Why do you refuse to read what I wrote? So long money transferred in comes from other banks, and incremental ADB compared to Mar, the rest does not matter! So do you have balance in Mar or is it a new account opened on 11 April?

Good luck to you!

Adb compared to march is the crucial point. That’s why I moved my funds out to another bank altogether.

what do u do with that wealth saver account ? just leave it empty?

i have just FAST 200k in. but her status is still personal...

I'm primarily aiming for the 6mths 4% promo also.

will there be a confirmation that we are entitled to the 6mths 4% promo?
or I've to call in to confirm ?

no idea abt the new Priority Banking promo, probably go read up the promo tnc & the the wealth saver account min bal, rates etc
our esaver 4% 6mths promo was via invitation by system automatically (probably triggered by incoming/outgoing funds track records)

Thanks for highlighting, I have yet to plan for May and overlooked this aspect. So I have to continue to keep my funds in esaver for May, then consider moving out in June to maybe isavvy depending on next mths promo rate.

Just curious on your investment strategy. Do you also allocate some monies for more riskier investment like mutual fund or stock or ETF targeting those that pay dividends? Yes I am a dividend lover but at the same time the price must not go down which is why it is risker I know.

I have a quick question about SCB eSaver. Once I open an account, I simply need to deposit fresh funds and leave them parked from April to May 2023 to earn 3.8% interest without doing anything else?

And what happens after June to July? How can I continue to enjoy the high interest rate? Thanks.
