so 4.35% from apr-july based on Mar ADB incremental (i.e $0 if new acc) and wait for new promo in aug (if applicable) or min bal 2k / 6mths closing i.e Sep

Simple. If your account existed in Mar, what is your Mar ADB? This will not earn bonus interest.

Only incremental fresh funds ADB in April earn bonus interest. Fresh funds means you transfer money from other banks into esaver.

It is not about ADB, it is about how the bank consider as a 'fresh fund'. I transfer funds between POSB and StanChart. Earlier, (less than 30 days?) I could have transfered some money from StanChart to POSB. When depositing into this eSaver account, the money also comes from POSB (not the same amount, possibly). Is it still considered fresh fund?

Fresh funds means you transfer money from other banks into esaver.

Why do you refuse to read what I wrote? So long money transferred in comes from other banks, and incremental ADB compared to Mar, the rest does not matter! So do you have balance in Mar or is it a new account opened on 11 April?

Adb compared to march is the crucial point. That’s why I moved my funds out to another bank altogether.

what do u do with that wealth saver account ? just leave it empty?

no idea abt the new Priority Banking promo, probably go read up the promo tnc & the the wealth saver account min bal, rates etc
our esaver 4% 6mths promo was via invitation by system automatically (probably triggered by incoming/outgoing funds track records)

Thanks for highlighting, I have yet to plan for May and overlooked this aspect. So I have to continue to keep my funds in esaver for May, then consider moving out in June to maybe isavvy depending on next mths promo rate.

Just curious on your investment strategy. Do you also allocate some monies for more riskier investment like mutual fund or stock or ETF targeting those that pay dividends? Yes I am a dividend lover but at the same time the price must not go down which is why it is risker I know.

Yes to the first question.

You would need to do a merry-go-round game, move the funds to another bank for the 2 months since for June-July the reference month would likely be May.

Of course you could open a joint-account with someone so you have 2 accounts to play the game, but you can't move the funds between them directly because it won't be deemed fresh funds.

Yes, it's tedious, easier to just rotate between 2 banks as opposed to doing the joint account method.

HSBC EGA is the best right now, could actually leave it at HSBC for longer too
