Me too. Been with them for more than 10 years. I had thought to leave quite a bit of money in eSaver. But today I have started to transfer out.

Me same as you all and so many years lock my 1k and this is what I get. But it is ok they want to lock 1k let them lock as I believe every now and then they will introduce new promotion. I remember long time ago it was 500 before they raise to 1k

like i mentioned, the invites are triggered by the system automatically on how they set the criteria(s), of which obviously being loyal or dormant account isnt any of the trigger point.
Personally, my accounts were dormant with $0 since ages till several months ago, i transferred in some funds into my esaver1 for the public rate of 1.6 (or 1.8% cant rem), before withdrawing out to other banks for better offer in Aug. Sep new month i got email invite of 2.2%, of which i activate on my esaver2 by transferring funds in.
Oct new month i'm not receiving any new invite where those others whom have previously withdrawn funds away in Aug-Sep i guessed, are receiving the new 2.85% invite. Saw the trend?

In any case, i'll be moving away my funds off SCB the 2.2% to maybank's 2.3-2.5%. Lets see if SCB gonna invite me with the 2.85% or better next month

For info I did participate in the Aug which is 0.8% too. But maybe like what you say they targeting those that withdraw much bigger fund size. Why I leave 1k and 500 is becuz I am a law abiding citizen playing by their rules. For me I don't want any hiccups in future so I don't usually play the game of close and open account or leave $0 let them cannot deduct fall below fee pattern.

Wait so can I just leave the e$aver alone and not have to suffer fall-below charges? They won't take it out of my credit card?

And then when you come back in for the promo they don't hit you with accrued fall-below?

For those of you who are on the 2.2% promotion, may I know if you have received a bonus interest for September? thanks

You should have received partly, the last part will be paid around 20th of the month as I have asked SCB before.

I never get fall below fees when I leave my accounts with zero balance until it became dormant, then I apply for activation. OCBC never charge 360 with zero balance. Other banks I not sure.

yup same. For esaver, no negative balance, no crawl back, not sure abt linked cc charge if any
I cleared out like more than 1-2yr ago until it became dormant.
Aint advocating playing with fall below balances, i simply cleared out and cant be bothered to head down branch just to close account i.e im fine even if system/bank close my accounts
It was only recently when SCB started matching market interests where i had to call-in for re-activation

Someone share Maybank preempt this game by disallowing one to use app or ib to withdraw until 0. It always hold on to I think $5? There was a reader complain so much until forced to go down branch to close it becuz if not the bank slowly deduct $2 from the amount that cannot be withdrawn. So I think this game depend on the bank.
