There’s another round going on now.Registration ends Sept 2024.
Not comfortable with the term “earmark”. Doesn’t this work like fixed d? Once touched, won’t get that interest as stated. There’s another round going on now.

Just that get the interest in advanceNot comfortable with the term “earmark”. Doesn’t this work like fixed d? Once touched, won’t get that interest as stated.
Seems like can only do once? They say each customer only can have one bonus interest. There’s another round going on now.

This is like the uob promo it seems, will earn the interst in the account but cannot take out and cannot see as part of available balance. Not comfortable with the term “earmark”. Doesn’t this work like fixed d? Once touched, won’t get that interest as stated.
Don't have account there.Lock in cimb 3.2% now, top up at least 5k.
the previous round was 2.5% then the one before 2.5% was 3% when everything was >3% .. weird they bring it back to 3%Just that get the interest in advance
Am surprised that the limit is so high. It's usually a low amount.
Are they trying to tie up our money cos they now don't expect rates to decline?
Do our interest rates follow the trajectory of US interest rates?the previous round was 2.5% then the one before 2.5% was 3% when everything was >3% .. weird they bring it back to 3%
UOB stash account. 3%pa on 100k no frills.I received the 3/3 bonus interest for the Oct24 Marathon promo. Now looks like no good place to move the funds to.
I just opened up a Maybank iSAVvy savings account and put the min balance of $500, waiting and hoping for Feb-2025 promo by Maybank.
Posb is running a simple 3 month promo for 3%pa for up to 1000k. Is this a good alternative to park my excess cash at this moment?
Tis can put one lot, then excess of 100k balances put bid up Tbills, the betweens of 2.5% to 3% can put up to 200k in SSB in the 2 yr/5 yr SGX Bonds? Below 2.5% , top up CPF OA with spare cash?UOB stash account. 3%pa on 100k no frills.
You need to calculate the Nov & Dec ADB .. Bonus interest is based on that difference.Hmm. My Dec bonus interest is significantly lower than my Nov interest even though I transferred in more money in mid Nov and again late Dec. The reference month is still September for the Oct-Dec promo right? I had $0 ADB in Sep. I’ve contacted my RM
I am on UOB Stash now. Love the no frills requirements just too bad it’s limited to 100k.UOB stash account. 3%pa on 100k no frills.
My CIMB FastSaver had a balance of about 2k at end of Dec-2024 and slightly over 100k in CIMB StarSaver. In the CIMB thread, someone mentioned the TnCs about what is considered fresh funds which got me a bit concerned if I were to empty out my 100k in CIMB StarSaver to my POSB and then transfer 100k from POSB to CIMB FastSaver, is that considered fresh funds.CIMB 3.2%, DBS 3% is good if you can stack with the multiplier rates if not it's just ok
Probably not, it would probably be safer to do a transfer from A>B>C>A instead, with A being your cimb accountI were to empty out my 100k in CIMB StarSaver to my POSB and then transfer 100k from POSB to CIMB FastSaver, is that considered fresh funds.
I have some funds in SCB ESAVER that has completed its 3 months Marathon promo. If I directly transfer from SCB ESAVER to CIMB FastSaver, will that be considered fresh funds by CIMB?Probably not, it would probably be safer to do a transfer from A>B>C>A instead, with A being your cimb account
YesI have some funds in SCB ESAVER that has completed its 3 months Marathon promo. If I directly transfer from SCB ESAVER to CIMB FastSaver, will that be considered fresh funds by CIMB?
definitely follow as all the interest rates only hit a high of more than 3% past 2 years due to US interest rates being close to 5%.Do our interest rates follow the trajectory of US interest rates?
Recently rates cut expectations are not so aggressive as the expectations in early 2024 . The cuts towards the end of the year was less than had been projected earlier on.
That's why now POSB is the limit is so high 1 million. They want our money NOW, rather than later when / in case interest rates turn up again
What you said about POSB is exactly the reason why I question why are they accepting high amount this time.definitely follow as all the interest rates only hit a high of more than 3% past 2 years due to US interest rates being close to 5%.
rate cut expectation not as aggressive as expected but it is still a cut after all.
POSB/DBS is probably the only bank that has no lack of funds due to their popularity back into 80s-90s. A lot of elderly leave hundreds of Ks in POSB/DBS banks earning measly 0.05% interest because they don't understand even fixed deposits etc and afraid of losing their money. POSB/DBS fixed deposit highest interest rates for 1 yr always cap at $19,999 for some reason.
