The $10 giga bucks on shopee is eligible for the $22 off $220 voucher for citi/dbs/posb cards.

So if u buy $220 credits, u pay $198 which is equal to 10% discount off giga line. Do note you need to prepay for 8-22 months (depending on your plan price) worth of usage to enjoy this discount.

am travelling on a long holiday to Japan.

Have a singtel company mobile.
Am thinking to sign on Giga 5G esim to make use of their 10G international roaming.

My question is (sorry if this is basic or have been mentioned previously):
1. will it be possible to use esim alongside my company phone line which remains active?
2. cancellation - i really only need it for the trip. Can i subscribe a new line and cancel after the trip without any charges? would be just that one month of subscription?
3. Any better recommendations with other service providers?
4. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Is 10g enough for your long trip and you are sure that you will not top up roaming data? If not I suggest you buy those travel data esim will be cheaper.

Hesitant whether it is sufficient (for 22 days). Please recommend suitable travel ones.

Should be possible with most phones nowadays that runs dual SIM, with the usual x1 Physical + x1 eSIM. Sharing your device model might provide better clarity.

2. cancellation - i really only need it for the trip. Can i subscribe a new line and cancel after the trip without any charges? would be just that one month of subscription?
If your trip is within a month then yes, will likely be a month charge. Unless it cross the payment cycle of the telco's billing.

3. Any better recommendations with other service providers?
There's others that provides Japan roaming like SIMBA, Eight etc. that provides Japan roaming incluided @ $12 & $11.8 respectively.
Believe these are the usual ones that are used when one travels since they provide a decent amount of roaming included. But do note that Eight requires SG activation, while SIMBA possibly might be able to be activated while overseas which might come in useful if you require more data while you are in Japan.

froztheart, thanks.
1. my device model - iphone 15 (presumable ok).

2. sounds good that subscription can be for just one month without penalties when i (can try to) time it within one month.

3. Eight and SImba - will consider them if they offer vast advantage with GB (vs activation intrication)

If it's a local SG iPhone 15, then definitely will work with x1 Physical + x1 eSIM.

The only issue is the activation if you were to additionally purchase the eSIM while you are in Japan that is a concern.
Last info I had was that SIMBA does not require to be in SG to be activated/48hrs prior departure, and activation can be expedited if one call/write in to SIMBA through email/FB etc., while Eight explicitly states only able to activate while in SG. Even though there's some that shared they were able to active Eight while overseas.

Yes, please do check through the offerings if they meet your needs. DYDD still please, since you will know what you require best while we can only advise as best from the information you shared.

1. Originally thought of signing on 1 new GIGA 5G esim to make use of their 10G international roaming.
And I believe I could further save $6 for referral and $6 for referee for the new line.

2. At the same time, upgrade 2 existing GIGA 4G plans for family to the GIGA 5G plan.

3. So total of 3 GIGA 5G plan.

4. But Klook was giving free 3GB data plans from each of the Shinkansen bookings (total of 6 x 3GB).

5. So then looks like I can make use of these free 3GB data plans for the trip as well as for an existing GIGA family user and just upgrade one GIGA for the another family user.

6. But as I will be needing to perform banking transactions while overseas, looks like I still may have to switch on my roaming on the singtel line (on my own phone) to receive the verification codes coming off SMS and even if I have hotel wifi?

What is your plan for the line after the trip ?
For one time use can consider Simba/eight/maxx $12 plan, for Simba/eight you also get free voice roaming should you need that.

With any arrangement to use a separate data sim, you will need to turn on roaming or wifi calling on your OTP line to get OTP, otherwise there would not be any connection between your OTP line and the system.

For wifi calling, I know Simba works overseas, M1/Maxx does not, it appears that eight also doesn't.
Not sure about Giga/Starhub/Singtel.

Line is for this trip only.
Getting a plan would still render me unable to use my banking as they are recognising my SingTel number not this esim. Which seems to mean it is unavoidable not to allow roaming on my SingTel number when needing to do banking.
