Is it just me or past few days giga freeze the data usage ticker in the app? Mine is stop at 42 GB despite keeping using the data for the past few days? Anyone encountered the same problem?

I think lift reception depends on area and design of the lift? Currently on giga, I am still getting 4 bars of reception and 4g inside. As for whether the reception is important, I'm sure it will come in handy during lift breakdowns.

Reception in the lift so important meh? How long do you stay in the lift?

If you are staying a distance away from the base station chances of getting network coverage inside the lift are harder.

Normally singtel has slightly more base station therefore singtel has higher chance.

I got reception in my estate lift for giga also. M1 and TPG totally no reception and will take some time to reconnect to the network after coming out.

but heck, juz sign up and try the signal and coverage 1st, if no good then cancel since no contract, if good then port over liao

number selection range starts from 8887xxxx, not bad can still choose number based on searching, not restricted to only a fixed list

oh ya and there is $2 delivery fee for sim

Then should opt to take a new giga number and sign up for the new line first, and seek to port in the outside number at a later time.

as unlikely as it sounds esp in SG, i recently got trapped in my hdb block lift and i barely had 1 bar on my orange line, literally had to stick my face on the lift door to manage to call my wife and tell her the situation

u may think aiya press bell wait for ppl come rescue lor
for me i was going down to pick up my toddler from her sch bus back from kindergarten, so i cannot juz "wait" for someone to come rescue me

so i still manage to call my wife and got her down to pick our toddler instead
and she also helped to call the lift hotline get the maintenance crew down which im surprised quite fast also, like within 10mins or so they reach liao
