I happened to be struck in this ****. Port over to Circle.Life on 8th May and Giga! already deducted payment for next month. Will I get the pro-rate amount back?

How and where can I talk to them? Keep hitting the robot!
Not likely for mvno's who deduct in advance. They don't even let you change plan before your next renewal date arrives.

Currently on Starhub postpaid.

If I switch to Giga, it is also using Starhub network infrastructure, so connectivity should be similar right (mrt/underground have signal etc).

I just lose out on VoLTE in terms of connectivity/functionality right?

It should be largely similar (excluding VoLTE/VoWiFi access), though I'm not sure if they do change your network priority level to lower or not, especially at times of network congestion.

All Starhub and their partner the network signal will be almost the same with starhub, only the download speed will be ranked if it is congested during peak hours. Otherwise, you are paying lesser for a phone line.

Tier 1: Starhub Customer
Tier 2: Giga Customer (Also part of Starhub wing)
Tier 3: MVNO (redONE, MyRepublic and Vivobee)

The thing is new month subscription end on 8th May and I ported over to Circle.Life. How can Giga! deduct on 9th May for my next month usage?

Worst thing is it's hard to talk to them.

And Giga! line sucks. speedtest showed that they are damn low in d/l and u/l.

Tested speed indoors at home or outside? Certain areas speeds are slow are different telcos. Latency for starhub can be quite high which is bad, loading times slow

It was supposed to be 7th May port over to Circle.Life, but it was Vesak Day that's why postponed to next day.

This Circle.Life is also another kind. If it was holiday and they are not working, why allow customer to choose that date? I even tried to ask for 6th May as I already got the sim card, but they cannot fulfilled that resulted this sh*t situation.

Was porting out on 3rd or 4th too early? It's user issue the way I see it.

From what I see you have a kiasi mentality too. What wrong am I to choose a deadline date if that party can commit. It's their fault not able to fulfill even when there is black and white corresponded over emails and messages.:s8:

Is there black and white saying they will pay you for any losses incurred by you in the event porting doesn’t not happen on that day?

Porting over early is to provide yourself a buffer in the event of (1) human error, (2) service backlog and (3) any other unforeseen situation.

We are in Singapore not USA, we always go with the written contract and any goodwill shown is, goodwill.

TPG $10 will be here for some time, at least till all the trial plan creased.
Recommend u to port out the last 7 days of your plan just in case the porting fail.

In your case, you might want to apply TPG on the 1st June and port in will start on 2 June onward.
