I checked with a giga live agent too.
To add on, it is only for new signup/ port in, as well as existing customers who are on the $18/20gb plan.
Existing customers will NOT be able to change to the popup plan...
:(:(

I just confirmed by CSO as calls/SMS are just 200 and data only 40GB....

I signed up for the $10 plan liao! Aiming to activate on 1st Sep. I must admit though that the $18 is way more value for money.

If I want to retain my current number and to have billing starts on 1st of the month, the best way is to sign up for a new number, activate it on 1 Sep 0001 hrs, then later port in the number to the same account?

Yes, this is the route that I intend to go through too, cos earlier posts seem to indicate that if one signs up directly with the port-in number, the port-in date seems to be set to within a few days after sim card delivery (sometimes port-in is done by the next day), so there is very little window to synchronise the billing date to 1st of the month.

So is better to sign up for a new number first and port in later after activation.

If signup new line first, then port in later, will there be 2 billing?

Example, now 19 aug ,I sign up, use until 31aug,
Then port in 1sep, consider 2nd time billing?

Or sign up now, activate n port in 1sep?

Why will there be 2 billings? There is no billing for a number porting.

When your giga service is activated, billing starts at the same time.

Even if number porting is done at a later time, it has got nothing to do with billing.

One bill for new number as pro-rated charge but no bill for port-in number as no usage yet right?

when we have already gotten a new number from giga, how fast will port-in be done (from my old number from circles.life) when we applied through the app?

No, they go by giga account. It doesn't really matter what telephone number is tagged to the account. That is why there is no impact on billing for number porting, cos the only account that is terminated is your old provider.

Can anyone share the Menu showing the Port In option. Getting 2 different plans for 2 different numbers, just want to confirm each can port to the specific plan

The port in option something like this (second row of the menu). So you don't need to sign up and port in at the same time. Port in can be done later.
1. Sign up with new number
2. After received sim card, can wait to activate the sim card. This is to sync billing cycle and time for your convenient.
3. After activate, port in anytime you want. It won't affect the billing cycle. You can port in after your old sim used up all the data/at the end of billing cycle.
