Are you still able to use the number or the number automatically terminated ?

KNN giga sibeh ridiculous.

Although I know the giga does not do transfer of ownership, I thought every telco would at least do that in the case where the account holder is deceased.

I tried to take over my father's account even though I told them my father passed away liao, and still they said it was not possible. And suggested to port those numbers out to another telco to do transfer of ownership. Can u see how ridiculous that is? How am I able to sign up for another telco using my father's name when his NRIC is already cancelled? :s22:

Luckily those numbers are just temporary ones and I have not ported in the numbers yet. Really knn.

Still can use the number.... but the numbers are pretty much useless to me unless I can port in the numbers.

So now I can only use those cards as data sims until the end of the month, cos I have decided to terminate those cards at the end of the billing cycle.

I don't know if this works for you. I understand Circles Life can port and transfer at the same time.

Does Giga charge from day of SIM delivery or porting date ?

Last time, I got Shopback for Circles Life registration. Any benefits for Giga registration like Shopback, preferred credit card ?

Thanks very much.

The first charge is on the day you order the sim. But their billing date will start when you activate the sim card, or when you put in the sim card

Sometimes I takes 2 to 7 days before otp start working after port. Monitor for a few more days.

Anyone has issues with incoming calls? Today one landline from govt agency cannot dial in. A bit sian as I thought only TPG has this issue. By the way the landines in govt agencies are mostly singtel lines?

Gomo got volte and can hotspot at 4G? Actually just now on call I can check gmail at H+. Have not tried more surfing yet.

GOMO can hotspot 4G if not on a voice call.
No VoLTE for GOMO too, once on a voice call it goes to 3G too. But the 3G on GOMO while on a voice call is still able to achieve 6Mbps download speed on speed test.
3G on GIGA while on a voice call is totally dead, can’t load any webpage. GIGA chat agent has confirmed this is expected, GIGA will not have data while on a voice call.

Personally I don't find it too troublesome.

But there are some instances where I do find it useful.
Example, I'm on the call and the caller on the other end sends me an image to take a look.

I don't think I'm much affected by this but out of curiosity, this would include using the phone as a hot-spot for laptop to pass through ?

So if I'm hot-spoting, eg if, bad luck, my home fibre comes down and I have to use my phone to hot-spot, then my laptop connection will break when a call comes in ? What about SMS coming in ?

Thanks for sharing.

Probably can check out any 10.10 promotion for Sim Only with Singtel or Starhub.

I’m 2 mths into Giga and having some issues with stability of the 4G connection and no VoLTE made calls connect even slower (both in/outbound call) :(

It's expected for starhub giga. Starhub and singtel mvno all no volte. Only M1 open its volte to mvno

that is why i also left Grid after 2 months. Tried giga and grid (singtel & starhub) respectively. Not really happy with both. My experience with giga isn't good

MyRepublic still better choice with volte and unlimited data. Unless the user wants Singtel, get Singtel SIM Only
