I signed their $10.10 for 40GB plan at a retailer shop this January. All good until June, since then the connection becomes bad. I believe many ppl have mentioned Serangoon MRT, me also experiencing no network there. CCL very poor coverage. In NEL and EWL it can connect to network, but TBH the speed is relatively low, at non-peak hours hard to watch 1080p video or open pictures on social media.
This is why I decide to jump to Singtel MVNOs, hope it would be better. (Maybe at last I would find that all the MVNOs would suffer from disconnection in crowded places due to deprioritisation).
It won't be. Singtel MVNOs on 4G during peak hour is also deprioritised and speeds will throttle to below 1 Mbps for download. My own experience on 4G on GOMO, Zero1, Zym since Nov 2019 till present. Non crowded/peak it's ok but if you don't want lag during crowd/peak have to pay a bit more for MNO plan.

I have seen the StarHub retailer shop at Jurong East (which sells the Giga $10.10 plan to me) is now offering a StarHub plan lower than $20, but I'm not sure, decide to check it someday.

Hi. I am doing a port in from Giga (used to be from M1 2 months ago) to singtel yesterday. Singtel staff just called me that the request was cancelled and was puzzled. She submitted another request to port in.

Any bros encountered such issue before? Thanks.

wut?! $1 for 4 months, how much data do they offer? Thinking of getting a new number with this plan, as I have ported out my main number from giga

Same issue, I have asked the starhub (giga) staff, it is because the IC I used to activate my new sim card is different from the one I used to activate giga.
You can chat to the bot in giga app, ask to update IC, and it would send you a link to fill in your email address. Then you would receive an email from gigacares@giga.com.sg asking you to upload your IC image. Not sure how long it would take to finish updating, but after they update, you can port out smoothly.

Wah I just realised giga has no call waiting

eg. When engaged in a call, all incoming calls will get rejected/hunged up

if I buy 1gb of giga roam, it’s valid for 5 days upon activation. So let say I use up the 1gb on the 3rd day and I buy another 1gb. Am I right to say the new 1gb will restart another 5 days instead of just valid for the remaining 2 days?

Yes, it will be another 5 days from the time you activate it, and if you have balances from the previous it be stacked upon.

Correct me if I am wrong. So let say I am very sure I would use more than 1gb within the 5 days, it’s more economical to buy 2gb when giga! has promo like 50% off right.

I normally does that by purchasing upfront with 2GB only if promo is available.

Thinking of switching from giga to redone

anyone can share if they did the same ? It is a no brainer as paying for 10 dollars, 100gb should be a better deal as both come from StarHub as parent

Under StarHub network the MVNOs available other than giga is redONE or MyRepublic (for 5G plan). For 4G plan with the most data and lowest cost is currently redONE.

How does redone compare to giga? Anyone got try both? Imo the likes of vivifi and zym got difference despite both being under singtel.

I switched from giga to redone last year, not much difference for me. But I'm not on the 100gb plan.
