Just one week plus after changing to fiber and now I'm on the 5th day without internet.
The connection is down because of some problem at the backend as confirmed by the technician who came by today.

I would recommend people to stay on cable/adsl for the next 5-10 years until fiber becomes hopefully stable T^T

Don't change because its cheaper as its more prone to problems, at least for me.
Its like its cheaper because the system needs the guinea pigs to help iron out the kinks.

Luckily phone still got data plan.

Opted for direct ONT when I sign up.
Man, looks like I'm one of those unlucky ones.

Don't have much hope for this new tech.
Hopefully all will be smooth once they get this big problem fixed.

Going fibre is a gamble.

imo, should opt for normal route then switch to Direct ONT thereafter.

so far none of my friends is having any issue with this route.

My home is on m1 fibre. Very stable.
Starhub fibre is at my dad place. It has been very unstable.
Speed do slow down and is at times worse than Singtel adsl.
