I don't know if you are referring to the ONT or the router or both devices, but I'll ask this question anyway.

Are you using a third party router of Starhub's D-Link router? For the former, you will have to configure the router's settings in order to access the Internet.

I'm using the n56u on direct ONT. Shouldn't it be just a plug and play thing since its direct ONT?

What muddle said. If you are using unofficial direct ONT, you will have to disable hardware acceleration and set VLAN ID for Internet to 1071 with a PRIO value of 1.

Step by step pls

Other than plug NetGear into power socket and the adaptor...

Step 1: Get a Ethernet Cable, plug it into NetGear R6300 WAN and Port 1 of ONT (The one with Nucleus Connect)

Step 2: Read the manual provide by the device, there should be a place to configure your Wi-Fi part directly on the browser.....

Normally, it looked like "http://192.168.1.254" or something like that.

That would be the place to setup your RG....

Are you paying us for providing you with a step-by-step guide?

Only 1 step to be provided free:
1. Read the manual of R6300

If you want to do bridging, disable wireless and enable dmz on the dvg. Think you need to enter the new router ip in thr dvg. So everything will be passed through to the new router. Connect the lan from dvg to wan of new router.

There's more detailed guide at the beginning of thid thread I have forgotten my settings but I can assure bridging works fine. I have also tried manual vlan settings and it works fine. Now I use direct ont. One less hardware to troubleshoot in case **** happens
