StarHub MaxInfinity Fiber Optic - Experience

Run 2 wireless good what. One for older b/g clients. The other for purely N device, so wont slow down capability of faster sets.

I have frequent outage on my internet connection when I run 2 routers. According to Starhub engineer, I should remove the 2nd network because it may be the reason for the frequent hanging of the hauwei router. Not sure if he is smoking me!

After reading/learning/trialing.... here's it...

(ONT) LAN Port 1 -> (HG256s) WAN Port
(HG256s) LAN Port 1 -> (DIR-825) WAN Port



Hmmm... the funny thing is that the upload speed for starhub and speedtest always differ...

One more thing... I am running a ftp in my nas... should i disable the ftp in the gateway? my router is running the port forwarding...

i can run 2 with no problem. but HG256 is horrible at DNS when it comes to 2 routers. :/ so he is smoking you a bit nia. as bridging is still better

Definitely. Budden again it depends on how u set it up, he might be right

I am on 100mbps...

Hmm... I cant see DDNS in the gateway setup at all...
and my dir-825 cannot post the DDNS...

My FW is v16... called SH and asked for v22 liao... they say their infinity team will call me within 24 hrs to 48 hrs...

Just checked... now v22 liao...
Didnt get the v25 that was mentioned in the other thread...

I dunno.. ddns failed on the 825... now the rg is running it...

43.22 u/l

using speedtest get that kind of lousy numbers....
