maybe didn't get to nego good deal with Asus. I suspect in future will be TP Link. Once some brands get very mainstream standard will drop.
That's why sometimes I don't bother with the free router. Never had good experience with them.

I agree. If u wan gd router gotta invest in one. U guys have any recommendations for a gd ac router that's decently priced?

In fact I'm using the old router DLINK 865l that has better range n speeds.... why dun they jus get asus routers? Its always gd quality...

That brand is not necessary good. If you google on the internet or this forum, it also have its fair share of complaints.

Also their service center is renown "Good" worldwide.

Have doubts ? Wait till you tried it.

I would say, to each his own. If you tried it and like it, good for you.

How is Twitch.tv streaming performance in Source Quality on Starhub Fibre? I'm planning to switch to Starhub Fibre.

First of all, you need to connect to ONT to check the speed test first. Best to be wired. Then you can slowly troubleshoot the issue is it from your computer, cable or router.

Recontracted to Homehub 1000 through Jason @ 83580671 after seeing the recommendations on this thread. I was initially going to recontract to my original plan, the Homehub 200, but as the recontract gift was a $120 Robinsons voucher at that point of time, I held out from recontracting. (Nothing to buy from Robinsons lol.) Was advised by Jason to hold out longer, till at least the IT/PC Show to see if there would be any better offers since I am not in a rush and Starhub did offered a 6mths free subscription for the Starhub Homehub 1000 plan for the previous IT/PC show. (Effective price/cost of the Homehub 1000 promotion would be lower than the Homehub 200, it's definitely a much better deal compared to a $120 Robinsons voucher lol).

Jason took the trouble to contact me the moment Starhub offered the free 6 months subscription for the Homehub 1000 with the DIR-868L router, $8 monthly HomeHub Voucher, and Disney Movies On Demand subscription thrown in - thankfully I have waited lol. Patience is a virtue. Appreciate that Jason took the trouble and time to contact me and explained to me the nucleus connect, modem, and router terminology, uses, and all. (IT/Networking Noob here). The Homehub 1000 installation was completed today and I am a happy man.

Damn shiok. Damn good deal. Thanks Jason and thanks to everyone who have recommended him here!

need some help, my DLINK 880L (new) keeps dropping connection to my ONT.

if connect laptop to ONT no issues, seems like a router issue.

due to the fact SH use the ONT as a support...you need to call them to inform them you want direct ONT.
By default connections are not direct ONT.

Hi Guys,

I am new to this thread for please bear with me. I just recontracted to SH 300mbps from the 200mbps plan and am using the D-Link DVG-N5402SP which was given FREE to me when I signed up for the 200mbps fiber. My friend claim this current router is very lousy for my house as my house is big(around 2500sqft).

Anyone has any router recommendation for my 300mbps fiber plan? Do you think by changing it will make a difference especially for streaming soccer matches time to time.
