I use my laptop to test with lan cable..installer din..so i thk mayb is cable or settings...but overall is much better than adsl 6mbps..

Laptop direct cable to 868? You should be getting close to the subscribed speed. Have you tried direct cable to ONT? same results? Tried changing another cable and try? For wireless, I'm getting close to the subscribed speed too even though my laptop is just wireless N. And it's placed about 1m from the router.

Free phone line cme with the fiber need activation?i plug into the ont canot call..

Should be activated on day of installation. Did the installer give u a VeONT? It's a small black ONT with 2 telephone ports. Plug your phone into the port with the green light. For mine is port 2. Never test your phone line during installation?

Ya..i direct laptop to 868..can oni get 90+ down 270+ upload...can direct to ont?din knw n nvr try.wah ur laptop wifi can get closed to it.mine less than haf..its huawei ont..both tel ports no green light..din test the line..my st line still exist..nid port over..wifi phone in room get 20+

Twitch always not very good, only smoothly on medium ...

a few weeks or month back i could stream it at source without any delay. Recently it does not even load at low.

Is it only starhub that is bad at twitch or all isp in singapore?

im just stuck on loading video now. i have to use vpn to watch streams

hard to troubleshoot your slow internet speed with my limited knowledge... perhaps other bros can advice?

Yes, VeONT is black Huawei HG8240. Without connecting your phone line, one of the telephone port should light up. It should initially blink when you switch on the ONT and will remain stable after a while. If no green lights for telephone ports, mean your digital voice service is not activated. Need to call customer service. But if u r porting over, I read from the website is that they need to port over the line first then can activate your line. Maybe that's y your phone line is not ready yet.

My cable broadband (25mb) is due for recontract soon
Was thinking of upgrading to fiber.
I mainly use my Internet for surfing, watching/dl videos and gaming on my PS4

Is starhub fiber really that bad in term of speed and frequent disconnect (main concern)?
Coz was thinking of getting homehub since my mobile and cable tv is oso with starhub

Problem encountered is that my modem/router has to be placed in the living room instead of my study and my desktop does not have wireless connectivity.

I found my old WAG320N and am wondering if I can configure it to receive wireless from the Starhub router and connect to my desktop via lan cable.

On a separate note, I've consulted the Starhub technician and he suggested to run wire to a new access point in my bedroom. But this would lighten my pocket T_T

Starhub fella advised me against it though. He said my old unit wires may not be good for it and he received customer feedback that the signal will drop badly when you switch on electrical appliances.. dunno how true.
