That's just one of the many definitions.All 1RM forms of DL are bad. If you can DL the weight with good form, that's not your 1RM. Regardless of back straight or not, when you lock out, that's a successful DL.

New to lifting here.. Extremely weak :S Currently on Rippetoe's.
BW - 70 kg
Bench - 45 kg x 5
Back Squat - 60 kg x 5
Deadlift - 80 kg x 5
btw, do you guys include the weight of the bar when you post your stats?
