Hey folks. I know I haven't posted much, but been browsing now and then.

Anyway, an update.

I just came back from a small comp since my disastrous performance at last year's Oceania.

Well...didn't get off to the best of starts. Did not have access to a Sauna to make weight, so had to resort to all sorta nasty tricks

Attempted to create a Sauna with a hot shower, but misheard coach's instructions and stood under a hot shower and almost passed out....VERY DANGEROUS.

Tried spitting 1/2 a kg - and succeeded, but didn't have saliva until about 11pm that night (NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS DESPERATE TO MAKE WEIGHT).

BODYWEIGHT - 109.4kg

SQUAT - 205kg (10kg drop from PB due to cramping and failure of 220kg at sticking point.)

BENCHPRESS - 160kg (finally...)

DEADLIFT - 245kg (100% effort)

TOTAL - 610kg.

First of all, congrats! Those are hella heavy lifts! I'm glad I have some work to do now, it's been pretty quiet around here for a while, hehe. Hope you get your squats up soon! 700kg total in sight? :p

Haha..thanks man.

Well...squats was truly dissapointing to be honest. I was doing 195kg for reps of 2 in training with ease...so 205kg was actually my opening attempt (something like a warmup).

I missed 220kg on my 2nd attempt at about 3/4 through the rep...drifted forward and loss control. 3rd rep was more disastrous when I couldn't get the rebound as I went down (left quad gave out.) Limped off the platform.

Well..700kg would be awesome. If I stay as a 110kg lifter, I'll need 690kg to get to Grade A, but I'm under instructions to bulk to 120kg, but will need a 710kg total. Either one will take me AT LEAST the rest of the year to achieve.

Atm, body fat is high, so considering just staying at 110kg until I lean out a bit.

ok currently 70kg and 1.78m.
according to the rep max calculator:
Bench - 141lb
Squat - 141lb
DL - 141lb

is that wierd or wot. i lift exactly the same weight for the big 3 lol.

Well, usually for most people who train regularly and seriously, bench is the weakest, followed by squat, and deadlifts are the strongest. Of course, there are people with chicken legs and a huge torso who train their upper body all day long and have never done a squat or deadlift in their life. Definitely frowned upon over here :)

An equal bench/squat/dl is a sure sign that you need to squat/dl more!

Nice job small_boy, you're by no means small! Anyway, lofty goals, but I hope that in the long term you aim to have bigger squats numbers than bench! :)

btw any DL numbers?
