yeah quick go in army la kc lol. give me some time to catch up hahah. ive got new PR in deadlift 150kg lol and im smelling a new PR not too far away for squats. previously it was 115 but yday i squated 4 clean reps for 110, think i couldve done 6/7 reps, but i followed my original plan and so it was 4reps for all my sets. I SMELL IT COMING NEVERTHELESS. bench gains not worth posting lol until i hit bodyweight at least sian lol.

On hindsight,it was a bad mistake to completely neglect regular DLs for the first 5 months of this year(thinking that farmers DLs would do the job,but no there was no carryover effect at all!)

I only started doing regular DLs again start of last month. Struggled with 3 plates the first time I went to DLs,but have been adding weight in increments of 5kg or on a great day,10kg.(well,I guess these are "beginner's gains")

Currently,I can do 185kg for 1 good rep using double overhand hook grip.Aiming for 200kg using the same grip.:)

Nice one Ben. 185kg is pretty good for your bodyweight, about 2x? I remember the last time I asked you, your 1RM was only slightly >140kg? An extra 40kg sounds like carryover to me. Good grip strength there too, I'm sure the farmer's deads have grip carryover :)

hahah i started using the mixed grip long time ago after i realised my normal double overhand only gets me to about 110, so im just starting to learn the hook grip but screw it, my thumbs hate me so much im still using mostly mixed. heck i still do try, but at 120 i start wishing i never had thumbs lol. im using hammers to work my grip more now.
