someone can help? explain in simple terms wht is institution and wht is retail.
Definition: Institutional fund flow is derived by subtracting retail account flow and MMLP flow from TOTAL ST markets flows. Net buy/sell amount is derived by subtracting total sell amount from total buy amount

that's the thing about STI. will not be surprised if lao hong. btw, good analysis, keep them coming.

No real data to push the stock prices while the world still struggle to contain the virus.

Once the feel good sentiments is over, maybe lao hong + lao sai is possible ??

So Singapore going down hill from this point?

Cause “never” sounds very extreme.

Just like the lost 30 years for japan lor, 24xxx in year 1991, 25xxx in year 2020. I know nothing is never, but if your investment horizon is 30 years, and if the stock market tanks and stagnates for 30 years, it's as good as being never recovered.

“Never” is quite an extreme word to use.

Yes I agree. It is very disheartening that STI hardly changed from 1991 to 2020. Has any other index done worse than STI in the last 30 years?

Huh no la, 1991 STI was 11xx to 15xx. It's only after recovery from great depression that it stayed between 25xx - 35xx, with now being at the lower end of the range. But then again, we need to look at a total return index for STI. Does anyone have long historical data for STI total returns?
