Singapore inflation is way lower compared to countries like Malaysia, Indonesia and China. One of the main reasons is because of the monetary policy to keep currency strong.
But by keeping the currency strong, it is hurting the export of the country.
So which one you prefer?
U sure sg inflation lower than Malaysia, Indonesia and China? Are you living in ivory tower? One breadtalk floss bun now cost $1.7!
SG debt to gdp is number 5 highest in the world, go figure

Ern, singapore debt to gdp is highest, but most of the debts are back by assets. That's the reason why 1 sgd : 3 rm coz people are worrying about the debt situation in Malaysia.
I dunno whether you got see 杂菜饭in Malaysia or not, let's take example 1 meat 2 vegetables since 10 years back:
1. 2.20 dollars at block 7xx at yishun street 72, 10 years ago, raised to 2.50 dollars about 5 years ago, then current price is 2.70 sgd.
coffee : 80 cents, current price 1 dollar
2. Jb, same dish, 10 years ago around rm3.50 current price at least rm 5.50 above.
Not to mention those imported goods price which are hugely inflated by weak ringgit.
China inflation rate is even crazier.
