Hello, i not sure to get samsung evo or crucial m500 for normal usage and gaming. I have read that the m500 uses mlc nand which can last longer than samsung's tlc although tlc runs faster? Any users can advise? Are there any noticeable difference between the two?

tlc is slower. The evo has an SLC cache which makes it faster.
Just get the crucial m500 for best value. It doesn't matter if its slc, tlc or mlc.
ssd's will pretty much never die on you.

I have 2 SSDs with me: Intel 530 series 240GB, and Plextor M5 Pro 128GB.

May I know which one is actually faster as an OS drive? :s11:
I only need 50GB for OS drive, so the Intel's smaller capacity is not really a concern for me...
I have the impression that higher capacity (of the same ssd model) tend to have better performance, but Intel is not exactly noted for performance either :s11:

If it needs to be connected to a Windows ultraportable as an external SSD. How to connect and maximize its potential as it comes with a SATA 3 interface? eSATA & mSATA only comes with max 3Gb/s and USB 3.0 at max. 5Gb/s transfer speeds.

Probably just put it in a USB 3.0 external casing since that interface offers the highest transfer speeds. Besides, most SSDs still have not reached the theoretical limit of the USB 3.0 interface yet.

Usb3 is not enough. Make sure both the enclosure and the host supports UASP.

The immediate benefits is saturating random access speed, that is what SSD is really superior in. Sequential access is better but hardly utilized most of the time
