if 1 cell died in the ssd would it mean the whole ssd dies? cos thats wad i read somewhere about wear levelling. so that means an ssd has to move its data around every now and then to use all the cells and make them all reach its expected usage at around the same time right?

is that right?

No.

Yes.

Well, after 4 months of seeing people say "wait for Intel G3" in this thread, it looks to me like G3 is quite a let-down, both in terms of price and performance.

I think most people were expecting much more performance, and much lower price.

Not really, it preformed better than G2 and cheaper. If u look at Vertex 3, better perfomance but much more expensive.

For me G3 is the one, but then still no sign of it yet, hope it is NOT like the floating date of iPad2.

Thought the price is still better compared to G2? 160GB x-25 is still going for $500+, right? If so, it is >S$3/GB.

There's tax for shipping to Borderlinx but not for vpost and CGW. Newegg is picky as they don't accept SG cards. If you use concierge, I don't think you can use the coupon code. Shipping within US won't cost a lot, you will just need to add in the cart and see for yourself. Shipping from the freight forwarder is normally at the minimum if you are getting SSD. Vpost taking 7-10 working days to ship it to you after receiving the shipment. Borderlinx and CGW takes about 3-5 working days or shorter.

Mind if I ask:

1) If cannot accept SG credit card, how to pay? paypal?
2) What is CGW? website?

I normally ship to US address and handcarry back. Perhaps can make my life easier next time.
