Bro,

Tried this and stuck at verifying the address.

Paypal offers two options,
  • Link a Back account, and they seem to ask for a US bank acct.
  • Apply for a Paypal Extras Master card, which requires a US social security number.
Care to share how you managed to link a SG card and get your account verified?

are you stuck at newegg or at paypal?

Newegg require you to have verified address? If the address is SG, does it matter?

I do not think you need to verify your address in Paypal, you just need to verify your account. Of course in order to verify your account you need to tag your Credit Card to it, and together with it your SG billing address. Thereafter you can add your Vpost/BDL/CGW addresses to your Paypal account.

Bros,

Can soneone please provide step by step instructions on creating a Paypal account with SG card and US address?

This is what I did.

  1. Create new account with US as location. When I do this, country is locked down as US for everything. So, I am able to enter US address, but when I have to enter the Credit Card billing address, the country is locked down as United States. Cannot change country at all.
  2. If I create a paypal account with Singapore as location, everything requiring an address gets locked down to Singapore. Even phone numbers are automatically prefixed with +65 :s11:
Can someone help? Just missed the C300 at a bargain price because I could not figure this one out.

from my experience, newegg does not accept our paypal, because it is very unlikely you can get a verified US address. iirc, that address must match your billing address.

however, my first time buying from newegg via paypal was a success. it might be because i was creating a new account while doing the transaction via paypal and somehow skipped the verfied address part.

second time on, newegg required me to have a verified paypal account. been on borderlinx concierge after that.

my last successful order from newegg was 1 year ago. prior to that, newegg did not accept paypal, thus was no go. my paypal account was created eons ago, it's linked to a couple of SG credit cards, verified, and have additional US addresses tagged to it. no idea if it still works to purchase on newegg with paypal now, perhaps will have to wait til something catches my eye.

Anyone here uses 3rd party US buyer to purchase these goods for you?

I wanted to use that to buy from newegg but ended up buying from a HK site.

borderlinx concierge free for purchases >$50 USD. comgateway does concierge for a small fee.

just before CNY this year i ordered 2 kits of 2 x 1GB DDR1 ram from newegg. borderlinx even applied the promotion coupons for it. if you have citi cc, borderlinx is pretty good.

just that in the recent months, the price of jet fuel sky rocketed, end up have to pay fuel surcharge :s22:
