I am still having a P45 motherboard, with the OCZ Vertex 2 120GB currently below $300, is it a good purchase?

Or, I should spend more on Vertex 3 or other brand?

Lately, I've been hearing that almost all of the SF-controlled SSD's are experiencing various issues (BSODs, freezing, 8mb bug etc etc). I'm guessing that's pretty much most of the SATA III SSD's ? Need some opinions in this, as I have an ASUS G53Sw and looking to buy an SSD before the end of the month :x

Thanks in advance!

Firmware problem, SSDs dun die out of a sudden, unless the flash die.

i think its wise to go for sata 2 then 3...
wait for it to mature before going into it will be a wiser choice

currently im at sata3 sandy bridge..
fast is fast but after my windows update, i cant even boot my system
there is just too much things going on in sata3

The Intel 510 is MLC I believe. SLC would cost too much. And now I've got a good mind to get the Intel 510 instead since it's the only SSD that's relatively problem-free. Or at least I haven't heard any issues about it.

Yea, hope they solve the problem before i got enough money to buy one of the ssds, if not need to get 510(more expensive):(
And btw, why 510 more expensive?
