If you switch to tablet mode and use touch friendly apps ( i.e. Edge browser ) then Win 10 is quite touch friendly compared to previous versions of Windows.

Check the vents design along the sides. Sp4 has visual vents. New SP does not

If u intend to use it for work with MS office, Surface is a full pledge windows device, ipad is just a tablet.
If u need just surf web & youtube, then go for ipad

IPad Pro only if you only use its apps.

If u are using it work related windows programs. Ipad won't cut it.

Ipad would be better for doing presentation and showing drawings/pictures

But if u want to multi task on word and excel. U can't do it on ipad.

I am a user of iPad Pro. Amazing tablet but there is some limitation if you need to use full fledge software. Even Microsoft office is totally different

I guess it takes time for iPad Pro to be a full fledge desktop replacement
