I got rejected without interview :-( just received the email today. I applied for FT Early Childhood and my grades are BCD/D GP-D LIT-D CL-A PW-A. I also have related working experience in teaching children, especially child cares and kindergartens, for more than a year. Don't know what to do now cause I thought my experience would at least land me an interview :/ oh wells have to wait till 1 April to appeal. Wish you all the best for your application!

Wah, 70 Rank Points also get rejected. Such low popularity course like Early childhood compared to accountancy, finance, etc, also need such high requirements.

Seems like SUSS has become more difficult than NTU.. If I got 70 RP, would rather choose NTU!

And worse of all, you have childcare experience, related experiences, also kena direct reject.

The closing date for A Levels is 16 Mar, not all applicants have applied for courses, and they started rejecting people within 1 week. So arrogant SUSS, think they one of the top uni in the world meh? Not even ranked 100th in the world....

Thank you for the info! Any updates on your application outcome? Mind if you share what's your grades please? :)

Ermm... I went for the early childhood interview. For the interview, its in a group setting. For mine, its 5 of us in a group. So depending on how many people applied for Early Childhood course that went for the same timeslot as you. So not necessary that there will be 5 people for group interview (can be more or lesser). There is only 1 interviewer. Before the start of the interview, you are required to answer some question on a paper. After that it will be self introduction (they mainly want to know why you choose this course and if you have any experience with kids that are younger than 8 years old) then will proceed to group discussion. All I can say is that if you have experience with teaching or handling kids, it will definitely be a bonus for you in the group interview round. Hope it helps :s13:

To be honest, everything end really fast (group interview for your research topic and for early childhood). Like everything end so abruptly. When the interviewer told us that we can leave, we were so shocked. I don't really know how they are going to choose who they are going to accept based on that :/

early childhood is not popular in suss but it is under HDSS faculty, which is what suss is going for, the flagship faculty of suss.thats why.lol. HDSS faculty now represents suss le. By right, hdss now should be hardest to get in already.

Wah like that might as well choose any course in NTU (those 70RP ones)? NTU recognition is much better than SUSS?

Definetely not worth the effort studying at SUSS given that you can enter a better uni at NTU?

Hello guys. I’m going for the interview on 16 March. Any interview tips. Any essay tips? What do they require for the essay and how long do we have to write it?

Hi,

I have just been informed to attend the interview for marketing (2nd choice). I have CGPA of 3.54 with decent profile. My 1st choice is data analytics which I believe was pulled by due to my O level maths (C6). Could anyone advise if it’s possible to appeal? Thanks!

cumulative is 3.3-ish cause I did really badly in my first year in Poly (below GPA 3). But scored above GPA 3.5 to GPA 4 for my last year of Poly. I haven't receive any emails regarding to the outcome of the interview as of now.

Heard that we will have to wait at least 1 month (after interview) to know if we get accepted. In 2 weeks time, should be able to know the results ;)

Hello! Heard from my friends (currently year 1 in SUSS), saying that SUSS have this compulsory 2 years of service learning thingy. So we need to do volunteer work (either 1 of the days during weekends or weekdays). Volunteer work ranging from giving tuition or befriending kind (mainly for those in needy family organization)!

So I think the school sort of values your volunteering experience or your CCA records in that sense. Those that are preparing for interview, the interviewer will probably ask these questions (depending on your interviewer; for Early Childhood, they didn't ask about volunteering experience). :)
