I think the full cost of buying into the ETFs via Syfe not exactly clear. On surface, may seem to be just the management fee.

Are there any other fees apart from Syfe's management fee?
+
ETF Management Fees (For ETF portfolios)The ETF management fee across our Syfe Core portfolios averages 0.15 - 0.24%. For an ETF management fee of 0.15%, this amounts to around $1.50 per $1,000 invested each year. The fee is charged by the ETF manager and built in to the prices of the ETFs that we buy on your behalf.
Since it is not charged by Syfe, you will not see the ETF management fee deducted directly from your Syfe account.
Currency ConversionThere is a 0.09% fee for currency conversion charged by our broker, SAXO Markets, on the amount converted. This is applicable on SGD transfers made to Syfe Core portfolios where we need to buy or sell US dollars to trade US securities in your account.
To understand more about currency conversion and your portfolio, please read more here.SEC ChargesThe US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) charges a very small fee of 0.00221% on sell trades. This fee applies to our Syfe Core portfolios for sell transactions only.SGX clearing and trading access fees (For REIT portfolios)The Singapore Exchange (SGX) charges clearing and trading access fees for trades executed on the SGX. These fees apply to our Syfe REIT+ portfolio only. SGX clearing fees are 0.0325% of the contract value and SGX trading access fees are 0.0075% of the contract value.

Yes, thanks for sharing! Just want to compare the overall cost vs using Endowus Fund Smart. I like Syfe because it is much faster... Endowus is super slow to see your investment updated after deposit..

To put it together. Assuming black or blue and taking min and max of etf costs.
Syfe min is 0.5+0.15+0.09= 0.74pa
Syfe max is 0.65+0.24+0.09= 0.98pa

To be fair, depending on the funds you buy, Endowus max costs can go pretty high. But if you buy the single fund DFA global core, I think that would be the min = 0.3+0.26= 0.56pa

Of course, diy via IBKR would be around 0.2pa

Wonder why Syfe can add CSPX but not VWRA...maybe doesn't sound as sexy as ARK kind of funds with exciting names?😅

Did I miss something..... Why do you want to pay somebody for managing your ETF portfolio? Can't you just buy the ETFs yourself? Once a year, just do a rebalancing.
You're right. DIY will always be cheaper. I do know that some use robos because they are more user friendly. Better interface.

For me, I've contemplated paying a little extra to automate the monthly investing process. Cuts out any behavioural issues. Decided not to in the end though. Robos cut away a lot of flexibility. I also lose the option to margin if I switch to Robos.

I use a robo for my kids investments as an object lesson. To show them what regular contributions into a global fund can do via compounding.

Answer lies in @dappermen post below
Only robos allowed u to use abit of money to buy into a basket of etfs (8)
When doin rebalancing, Foc too
Convenience, his time can be better spent elsewhere

They know no one would want to invest in a very diversified fund with them and pay recurring AUM... Hahaha

Yup that is value proposition of Endowus. Furthermore Dimension funds not easily accessible. ETFs can be easily bought thru brokers. Syfe should offer more UCITS ETFs, then I think many more pple will pile into it..As of now, Syfe will still kena shot down by Endowus for having high expenses.
If you are looking strictly for Robos that invest in UCITS etfs, look at utrade robo.

Yes. Strange, doesn't usually take this long... TODAY IS WEDNES ARHHGHGHG

Usually I prefer to transfer money direct via cash rather than between accounts as it is a long process. The funds that I transferred in via bank transfer this morning is already reflected in the portfolio though not invested yet.
