so if i will let robo handle ETFs, which platform is recommended?
or, all will return the same, assuming i instruct them to buy the same ETFs

then next qn is, does all platform have access to the same ETFs, or some platform will have wider portfolio access?

Brokerages or even robos using brokerages for trade execution can totally screw you up with poor trade prices.

I m not sure if anyone or any of those bloggers that earn syfe's/stashaway referral before did this study, but we need more transparency on robos/new brokers trade execution. You can get low fees, however if the platform is "earning" from you through selling your trade flow (hi robinhood) or have a bad platform behind, you are screwed.

Erm
U have alot to catchup based on your qns….

The robos r not all the same and not allowed u to select your own etfs or funds
Endowus is more of uT/funds
Syfe -more of etfs , while it has a plethora of etf, it doesn't have All in the stock mkt but it has some of the popular ones….
& u r at the thread of syfe

u may have some homework to readup 1st - https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/...shaway-vs-syfe.6092311/page-45#post-136328666

Sure you can own 50+ stocks, amass a huge portfolio under the cheapest brokerage. Imagine the time needed during rebalancing... or when got rights issue etc

Something which those youtubers nv say, and I understand why since their content is marketed at the masses. Other than occupational restrictions, I value my time over fees. For others whose portfolio consist of less than 5 stocks, or can only afford to dca abit every month, robos is the way to go, even if your portfolio reaches a substantial amount.

i fainted everytime when i need to purch just 1 item using tht iKBR~ very scary experience > very scary!!!!!!!

subtantial shd be more than 20K sgd!! or SGD 100k ?
https://www.syfe.com/pricing
Heres a food for thought. Assuming your Robo portfolio hit 100k, but you are still only able to DCA a small amount.

Will you switch to a low fees brokerage?

Majority of us are salaried workers and do not always have a huge inheritance coming from other parents. If so, good for you. Can just do a lump sum.

If not DCA monthly from your salary is the way to go... helps to eliminate emotions resulting from market fluctuations also.

Just checking all ETFs selected by Syfe are US base hence subjected to higher dividends tax (not so important for growth ETFs) and Estate Tax? This may not be important to everyone for now until this grows to a taxable size?

U r not wrong to say that….if we r to alwys avoid us stocks just cos of div tax, oh dear… there are just too many considerations…

I dont also purposely pick etfs w lower exp ratio

I specifically pick those who r well-peforming instead

There are 4 UCITS Etf in Syfe Custom, Cspx, Eimi, Vwra and Cnya. Does China also impose higher taxes in foreigner that's why Cnya is needed?

If you concern about US estate tax, cap your portfolio of US stocks to a max of USD $60K or about approx SGD $82K based on today's exchange rate. Invest the excess on Singapore or Irish domiciled securities. Gamble it on bitcoin also can.

The estate tax is applicable upon death right? Not when you are still alive?
