Why selling and who?
Fundamentals changed?
Bad results coming? In fact, anticipated good results in next announcement.

Nothing wrong with Tesla stock except that it is overvalued. Hence I mentioned that the song will stop singing very soon, mainly due to anticipated fed interest rate hike and inflation which tends to shift funds towards safer value stocks. Believe in growth potential and all that are parked aside for now til this fear subside.

Even Elon himself mentioned bad times are coming in 2022:

Not forgetting institutions and sharks continuing to rip off retail investors as usual.

Many big name growth stocks in tech sector are about 20% off from ATH. Some are about 10%.

High PE ratio getting haircut because higher interest rate means future profit are worth less today.

It's not about tsla, it's the interest rate fear.

Tsla forward p/e ratio likely to be around 75 at the moment. Lowest since march2020

For bulls with spare $$ looking for lower risk/reward trade ideas, current prices actually provide for some great opportunities. For example, one can sell a 1k strike put expiring Jan 2023 (exactly 1 year) for more than $23k premium.

If price close above 1k in Jan 2023 (likely scenario), that's already more than 23% return in a year. If not, most would be happy to buy at less than $770 per share cost basis in 2023!

Next, use this $23k to buy 23 shares immediately or even leap calls (if you are feeling lucky) to further increase potential returns.

but chance of being assigned is quite high for the short put trade.

Happy to buy under $770 in one year time. But if one thinks that the chances of it being under 1k next year is quite high, he probably isn't a bull lol
its not what me think. me nobody.

it is what the pricing model think. prob of assignment for your short put is 62%. me original question was to ask why u choose a strike with such a high failing chance. but then again u mention u hyper bull. so that justifies it. :)

Yep, understand your point. For long dated puts, I usually ignore the delta and pick ATM strikes on dips when I think price is undervalued based on fundamentals.

The prob of assignment is much lower than that suggested by the delta, if u base it on the fundamentals.

Not a good sign. One ask you to call Fire Engine. Another ask you to call police. :s42:

Dont need to convince those that are critical of tesla. When it hit 500s mid last year, all the bears keep saying it will crash further. Pre split alr got people say overvalued and will crash. Even if hit 1500 by this year end, they will say it's overvalued and will crash back to 1000. At 1500, some will say why I didnt buy at 1000. Bunch of jokers

Yup, it's tiring after awhile. But sometimes we just hope more people can earn from great opportunities like this.

please appreciate the bears, it's because of the bears that bulls can continue to accumulate at cheaper price
