If you really wish to career switch to IT, it is still possible without TFIP, that is only if you are rejected.
Anyway for me I deliberately get some IT certificate (with examinations) as a way to make up for lack of experience. But that can only get you shortlisted into interviews, and it is all depending on how demanding the hiring manager is.
I have advanced Python and Excel Analytics certificates but I think they are not powerful enough. Somemore, my experience is mainly from financial institutions/ banks. I find it strange that I am not shortlisted. Anyway, I shall find some part time jobs to earn some to do Masters in DA/IT if TFIP doesn’t choose me.
