Such a coincidence and least expected from you.

I started following in the early 2000. I listen to any punk rock songs.

Haha life is so full of surprises. Maybe I sound like the type of person that listens to Pet Shop Boys or Jason Donovan. :D

You listen to Pennywise's 90s albums. Much better and kick ass. :s13:

It all boils down to what is your investment strategy.

I have not been adding since December.

I thought you look at the Fear and Greed Index to decide when to buy and sell .... I'm sure it was flashing fear at that point in time.

I added to my Singtel and STI ETF long positions as the markets were oversold then :)

Back in December was also at extreme fear. The whole year of 2018 had also alot of fear.

I only have a finite capital. I can't possibly be buying at every extreme fear level.

anyway, the snp500 index is at the usual pivot around this period...first 1.5 hours is approx mild slide, then it goes up from here.

Interesting article -

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...ld-s-bond-markets-quicktake?srnd=premium-asia

""Pension funds and insurers, traditionally big investors in government bonds, are in a particular predicament: Their liabilities grow steadily as clients age, but often they are required not to take on big risks. Banks see their margins squeezed. They’re earning next to nothing from lending but still need to offer depositors a rate above zero to keep their business. In Germany, the ECB has come under political pressure for hurting the returns of savers. Central banks could run into the problem of hitting the so-called “reversal rate” -- the point at which low borrowing costs start to harm rather than help the economy, should banks start to restrict loans. That could deepen any slowdown."

Fair enough.

I was away in Dec and hence started adding only in early Jan. Continued adding till mid Feb and then started reducing in late Mar till end Apr.

Kinda quiet here...

Makes me consider the two options

1) Bear is really coming, because outspoken bears are now tired

2) Slow continued melt-up

=:p

I don't really understand why he's so bullish amid such poor and precarious market conditions.... he's like the opposite of a bear that keep shouting the market is going to crash daily. :s13:

Before a terminal patient dies, there will be a sudden surge of energy, appetite in the patient as if the illness is cured but this last only a short period of about 12 hours.

They will probably be back when there is volatility.

回光反照

S&P 500 and DJI
