The rough estimated cost would be the price of the recon/longshot x2 = total price with shipping charges if you are shipping from US.


When we require shipping from US or anywhere else to SG, they will mostly calculate the shipping cost based on volume weight or actual weight whichever is heavier. Plus the Seller's box/parcel weight which is hard to estimate if they pack more air/form to your package or not.

Okay, my friend living at Tampines Central just went to BHG there to look for the Recons, but he couldn't find any, i guess all sold already.

On the bright side, he mentioned that BHG still has a few boxes of Iron Man NRF Blasters in stock.

What a coincidence, i was having lunch at Toa Payoh Hub today and happened to walk by a HDB hardware shop. Spotted a whole selection of household tubing at one corner.

Bought some 0.7" pvc tubes ($0.70 p/ft) and 0.5" copper tubes ($2.50 p/ft). Also got a metal tube cutter for $7 bucks.

Took a quick snap of them when i got back to the office:

The 0.7" pvc tubes are ideal for barrels and the 0.5" copper tubes are perfect for foam darts to sit in.

I guess most neighbourhood hardware stores should have these in stock too. Before you go and buy, its probably a good idea to just bring along a Nerf foam dart to test the correct tube diameters.

I don't remember the name of the hardware shop though, but it was in the central hdb shopping area. They had various tubing materials and sizes.

You actually don't have to go all the way there just to look for such items, if you check out a few other hardware shops around your area, you should be able to find suitable pvc or metal tubings easily.

i actually also have never found the correct siize FBR in all the 10 hardware shops i've been to. Even D.I.Y does'nt have foam.(or at least the one at AMK hub does'nt)

Interesting DIY air pump gun you have there, looks like the internals of a Secret Strike AS-1, but in a much bigger scale.

I agree, its difficult to find correct sized FBRs, only way is to custom order FBRs in bulk.

The easiest method is to just buy a pack of 30 Nerf Tagger Dart refills and detach the tagger heads, then you'll have proper sized 0.5" foam pieces to fit any barrel.

Btw, keep the tagger heads 'cos you can attach them back on again later when you need to play nerf skirmish.

True, i guess there aren't stores like home depot locally 'cos singaporeans are generally not DIY people, most would rather hire others to fix stuff for them.

Btw, since there are a few DIY air pump gun enthusiasts here, check out this taiwan group's works:

Imho, these guys can easily get jobs in a gas piping company, they are already experts at pressure piping and valve control. Haha...
