Ok so the CSO called me back today. Told me it was a system glitch/technical error and many ppl didn’t get the rebates for Dec. Double confirmed that there will be rebates and will be credited asap. Oh well, so much for world’s best bank.. lol

Finally, rebates are in for me. $25 max for single online transaction of $1000+

feel like cancelling this card, but it’s still good in someways. Anyway I got lifetime annual fee waiver for this card from some promo many years back.

$25 is a hard cap for each cat
.. any excess spend is 0% rebate,
... so better use Physical PayWave, can get at least 0.3%

CSO refused to elaborate. Apparently, started this month. I'm worried it's an MCC change depending on type of payment. That's why asked for data points from those who paid recently.

I did not get full rebate this month probably also because of ipaymy. I asked CSO and he said it difficult to find out. I pinpointed ipaymy, he did not want to confirm as he worried that he may make a mistake. However, he confirmed AXS Pay&Earn is qualified for 0.3% rebate and thus it can be used to make up the minimum requirement. Anyone tried AXS Pay&Earn earlier and can confirm the rebate?

only thing I can think of is I closed a Frank savings account 2 years ago. Now 0 products from OCBC

I faced the same issue and called the bank this morning. Was told it's not due to my ipaymy transaction (which is still an online and valid mcc transaction). Lower rebate is due to an ineligible overseas purchase which causes me not meeting the min spend.

I'm surprised. What kind of overseas purchase could be considered ineligible? I would imagine all overseas spending should be counted given there fx rates involved

yes more than $800

so you used ipaymy for tax in Mar and it counted for rebates?

I got confused. The rebate I got for 30 Mar was for Feb spending and upon review and contacting them, there was a clinic I visited in a hospital that was billed as a hospital MCC and did not count towards eligible spending. Has asked for review/appeal. What a headache.

yes more than $800

give them a call ... when my Feb rebate was lower, the CSO was able to explain why within a few minutes .. and that was due to a refund (i posted on that too)

so far IPM seems no change
