From what I've read, Google usually only releases new updates to 1% of the population during the first week, followed by 25%, 50% and everyone over time. This is to make sure bugs are caught and fixed before releasing them to the masses. I've been quite "lucky" as I've almost always gotten updates pretty much immediately since I got my Nexus 4. 4.4.1 was the only one I didn't get.

Wow that means you are the selected 1%. 4.4.1 may be slow to be released due to some bugs being discovered early and they quickly got to work on 4.4.2 and released it soon after

i just ordered from japan playstore
200yen was charged to my cc but the playstore write my order was cancel,
and i called the bank,they said the transaction was approve.
anyone can advise me?

Just connected the brand new N5 to wifi and instantly got the 4.4.2 update!
The speakers are ok, the audio jack works.

Just need to cut my SIM, get screen protector and casing then choose whether to go CM, Omni or Stock.

Almost scared myself when the phone isn't charging, just didn't plug in the micro-USB fully

i am using Cataclysm with franco kernel r19.

Best battery life without sacrificing performance.

33% left and 3 hours screen on time.
The 3 hours was looking at XDA forum, facebook chat, whatsapp, fiddling with settings

200yen is a refundable verification charge, to test is your card a valid one or not but this does not mean your order is successful. The only confirmation of successful order is the full phone amt charged and with shipped email thereafter.

So for your case, somehow your a/c might be recognized as non-japan google a/c. Trying changing card to order again.
