just cut my laokokkok sim n powered up my phone.

straight away got 139.3mb update. hope this solves most of the problems...

mini review: personally not too impressed with the box, cause mines a black phone n there was like filings from the box which stuck onto the back of the phone. wiped off easily. but 1st impression... hmmm...

you must slowly play. you're missing the fun and the purpose of the nexus if u buy and dunno how to unlock bootloader and root lol ..

to update custom rom, you usually just flash over unless stated need wipe and install!

root n unlocked bootloader. what should i be installing next? :)

CF is just a tool to unlock and root.

To flash, you will need custom recovery such as CWM / TWRP

me...using singtel 3G plan...it's shown as H most of the time for HSPA+ and 3G when at the zone with 3G....

It will be GPRS when in 2G...you will not see E in singapore since I don't think singapore uses Edge.

Thanks for clarifying pal.

So you are on 3G plan? Wonder if there are any 4G users who are using the Nexus 5 from US here in ST - want to know what they experience, whether they get 3G or 2G.

yes, i am still on 12GB grandfather 3G plan..

it will be in HSPA+ lah....that's the fallback when LTE is not detected....GPRS is the absolute last resort when the phone really cannot get any signal..

Either H or 3G. So far data connection is same as before. Downloading is 10 to 15Mb slower in testing, but when browsing internet/steaming utube doesn't notice much different. Uploading is much slower in testing, but not try out yet so no comment. LTE user with us N5.

Thanks! Makes me think of getting US set instead. Got the Japan set but realise there won't be LTE when I go to the States...

The US version actually has more bands and frequencies (primarily their CDMA bands)....the rest of the world version is solely for APAC countries only...

Any solutions for waking up phone other than by power button? Very fast power button may spoil if keep pressing?
