Yeah... Xperia Play successor will be awesome. I am going for Xperia S.
I hope Sony put OLED screen on their phones. They had put it in A77 viewfinder, PSVita screen. Why they no include it in their phone. Hopefully Samsung AMOLED screen will be killed.

I for one don't want sony to switch to stupid amoled if u noticed all keitai don't use amoled only the Korea's go siao over it and our it all over all their phones

even I can afford 1k phone but I don't

what sony need to play catch up with Samsung is their tv business

I dont think a water resistant phone will survive direct tsunami hit unless some miracle happens.

Sony may be more willing to put their investment in other hardware compared to SE, as seen in the tegra2 chip in tablet s.

I will not be surprised if they managed to put OLED or maybe their recent Crystal LED technology. Only thing I dislike OLED is heavy battery eater for showing white color.

While I prefer sony/SE over samsung any day, I have different outlook over these brands.

I have used samsung products & they dont seem to last. Although I paid more bucks for sony products, they seem to last longer than I expected. Maybe Im just lucky or sony have quality products.

I sold him my old sony mp3 and he use Samsung
his Samsung newer spoit faster than my 2yrs old used sony
I own the first sony Walkman the cassette era
so I guess u can guess my age hahaha

I still very young arh... my phone history not very long.

My Second Phone: Sony Ericsson W910I
My Third Phone: Sony Ericsson W705
My Forth Phone: Sony Ericsson Satio

My Sixth Phone: Sony Xperia S

Let's take a look at my Sony Chronology since 2004:

K750i > W800i > W960i > X10 > Arc

As you guys can see, before the invasion of smartphones, my previous phones lasted me at least 2 years. Now... 1 phone per year... >.<

Come to think of it, I survived internal memory of 8gb when I owned W960i, so maybe S's 32gb might not bother me much at all...

But then, with so much apps available for install and me being a very multimedia person (besides over 6gb of music, I still have movies, dramas and AKB48 music videos), I dunno whether is it enough...

Frankly my tablet, which is 16gb internal + 32gb external, is using up soon +_+

I almost used up my 32gb card in my phone, until I got my tablet which I used for watching videos & movies.

Huh? Where you read any rumors that sony will push out quad-core phones?

But seriously, I was slight disappointed that xs did not pack a bigger battery despite its wider thickness compared to arc. All those power-hungry apps that supports multi-core are going to eat the battery for breakfast.

I am also looking forward to better gpu. The x play have a different gpu from the rest of 2011 xperia that makes games run better. I am envious of x play owners.
