yume sounds fake leh, even if sony ericsson parted then should still be no reason for having 2 dual cores for their flagship phone models

Its a concept phone, according to the given links. Unless Sony wants to buy the concept.

Sony have been playing and experiment cores more than 2. I won't be surprise if they fit a 8 core gpu on a mobile phone next yr or 2013.

Battery, battery & battery life!

More cores = more power hungry apps developed
Its a double edge knife.

I am waiting to see the battery life of quad core phones.

Even it is 2K Cap Battery but it is not Lithium Polymer but Lithium Ion so it will be heavier and cannot last longer compared to Lithium Polymer.

Dual core chipsets prices gone done quite a bit already thanks to Apple and HTC. It's actually going to be just a bit more expensive compared to the 1.4ghz single core going around.

FYI, more cores doesn't equal more power hunger.

Power efficiency is one of the area that has been researched and addressed by chip makers.

Look at current cpus, are they more power hunger than previous less core cpus??

We are moving ahead. More cores doesn't mean it will suck more juice.

If you understood my post, you would have know that I referred to apps sucking more juice & not the hardware. :D

More cores doesn't mean higher power consumption. Newer manufacturing process and chip architecture always equate to better efficiency. For eg. The tegra 3 consumes 61% less power than the tegra 2. The basic principle behind silicon technology is the same for computers and phone processors.

Yes, we know more cores does not = more power consumption. Of course, if you compare old hardwares to new hardwares then we can see the difference.

But you cant stop developers from making power-hungry apps to fully utilize all cores for max performance. I hope you are not going to tell us that all apps consume the same power. :D

It will depend on how the apps make use of that power. Balance control? Full force whack??

Much like gaming on a quad core i7 now and see how long that battery can last.

Wonder how is the battery life on a PSP vita? Quad core gpu is yummy.

Bring on as many cores as you can sony!

It seems like arc s display is more sharper and text is more refined and no rough edges too
Wonder why too
Is it due to se panel got more dot pixels vs sgs2 oled?

Because sony screen is slightly smaller and have higher pixels, hence the text is more refined.

As long as you have higher density on a smaller screen, it will be sharper.

Definitely SE phones have better display especially the Bravia Engine and many of my friends also commented that Samsung S2 screen very bad and sucks, SE phone screen is much better and sharper, colours also better and more to reality.
