I bought a Cooler Master Silent por modular 700W last week. Quite silent and nice looking. I think the cost is high but I feel worth...U can check the following review....

I bought the PSU is for my new system. But I think the PSU is high efficiency 85%. it will be save my power biil and the silent fan keep my PC silent.....

Mainboard + core = Gigabyte EP45-(ds3/ds3r) w/ intel c2d e8400 $450-480
or Asus P5Q pro p45 w/ intel c2d e8400 $475

Graphic = Palit Radeon HD4850 512mb ddr3 (sonic) $269
or Sapphire Radeon HD4850 512mb ddr3 Toxic Zalman Fan $289

Memory = Kingston ddr2 6400/800 cl5 (2gb x 2) $106

Hard drive = Western Digital 250gb $76

Opptical drive = Samsung s223 22x dvd+rw sata $39

PSU = (Please recommend)

Casing = (please recommend)

Thinking of PSU CM realpower m520 or corsair hx520w ( is it sufficient for my built)?
Casing Liang-Li PC7FW. (Don't need blink blink).
Please correct me if the prices is wrong at this POT.

For PSU if ur budget is enough. I suggest you choose CM New Selent pro 500W($159)...I bought 700W is $239...It is Modular and high efficiency85%...And 5 years warranty...

Hi there,

i am currently using having problems with running crysis using 4850.
Its quite laggy
Friends have suggested its the problem with the PSU.

Current specs:

3dmark06 score: 7800 plus( is this normal?)

MB: Palit N73PV

GFX: Powercolour 4850 PCS

2GB DDR2 RAM

Intel Core 2 duo e 7200 ( no OC)

Current PSU: Andyson 450W


Is my PSU the source of my problems. or is it anything else?

If lets say i am using an andyson 450 w

based on this chart i have dual 12v rails.
My total effective wattage for my 12v rails is 360W.

That means 180 w per rail right?

so my amperage is 180/12= 15 A per rail?

Is that correct.
Anyway if i am using a ATI 4850 running on an intel core 2 duo 7200,

is that enough?

No, it doesn't work that way. The Andyson 450W is rated for 18A/16A, but the local version is somehow 20A/20A. This means locally the Andyson 450 can provide 20A/240W of +12V power on either rail, with the other rail then limited to whatever remaining capacity there is, up to the max the PSU can support.
