Flashed XSA marshmallow via odin then update to nougat via OTA. Coz Nougat XSA is not yet available in sammobile or even samfirm. Available only OTA.


How did you do that? You bought your phone in Australia? Or are you flashing the XSA ROM to your note 5 via Odin? :O

You will lose a lot of Singapore specific functions and promotions if you really did so.

Damn samesong, releasing phone then just forget about them. what more if Note 7 was not stopped.


Due to unforeseen issues, FOTA will be delayed until......... fvuck it, just buy Note 8 with Android O.......

probably will be like Note 5..... release on Lollipop but update to Marshmallow within 2 months......
It took quite awhile before M was given to Note. Note 5 being released on Aug 21, 2015. Marshmallow was released on October 5, 2015. With the very first Marshmallow FW update released on 15 Feb 2016

Android O release timeline is set for Q3 of 2017 for OEMs to receive O

Nougat 7.0 for AU already available in Samfirm and sammobile.

Tomorrow is the day for SG (we wish). 😂

Update:
Due to some changes in schedule, FOTA will be open on Monday 29 may

Backup devices and prepare for the good news in the update for tomorrow.
Note that DO not really expect a whole change in experience. If issues do arise a Factory reset should be the first action as it is quite a major update.

Backup to Google account and create another backup with Smart Switch

Also, backup all the WhatsApp/LINE/WeChat/whateverchattingapp as I don't think Google account or Smart Switch will back those up
