Nothing happen on my phone. Checked and says software up to date.

Any one having issues with the Smart Switch Windows version?

It keeps on saying there is a new firmware and after i clicked on the update, the firmware will download and once it reaches 100%, the window will close and that's it.....

When i click on the Smart Switch again, the same new firmware popup message appear again......



Have to resolve this before the "new" OS is available for download and install into my Note 5

I have absolutely no issue now. Though i did have a change of router with the same brand and now i split up the SSID of 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.

Eh it's out meh! You can just go manually choose to check for update right? If not, use PC and connect to the Kies see if there have.

Near ending of april. The naugat, after a fresh restart, still cannot use fingprint to unlock device for initial unlock.

That is working as intended, it requires the pin to decrypt the keys to secure element first before it can be used. It is an Android design.

What is the region settings on the router set for? Have you flashed any other countries FW over onto your N5 before? Lastly what channel bands are your Wifi set to?

Today i finally get the same phishing email as you guys but this time it says update before 30th April cos they extended the deadline LOL

Most likely is they can't roll Nougat out on time, extension is more for them but they make it sound like they are doing us a favour

lol....i have a feeling they are more concerned with pushing out the software to "fix" the tint issues of S8/S8+ first, then push Note 5 update

My experience with every update is so unpleasant.
The worst is note 4. The update totally render it so unuseable and I had to switch to note 5.

Not looking to it.

I don't think it's that big an issue actually but they can't afford any negative after Note 7 so everything has to be sui sui.

Samsung's phone best battery firmware is always the one right out of the box. Note 3 had pretty much "worse" update until the latest one which makes the battery life back to almost what it was but too bad i had it since 2013 and nowadays it's solely for games only so battery drain like hell.
