Is the lens is made in locally good or not?

Do you mean local brand lenses? Different lens will differ from each other. Clarity, coating and all.. can't really name which is better for obvious reasons but yes there is a difference especially for more sensitive individuals.
Local lenses are not too bad too if you are talking about single vision. But progressive, best to stick to the big boys brand..

Yes. I mean local brand of lenses. Never used branded lens before. Due is too expensive as I changed my spec every 2 years. Most of my progressive lens is local brand so not sure how good is the branded lenses.

Branded brand will depend on sadly how much we pay, there be wider reading area, sharper vision and significantly lesser distortion at the sides.
We kinda have to pay for better comfort and viewing.. imho it's like an investment for the next few years..

It's not necessarily the case that branded lens wills always be better. If the branded progressives are not freeform lens, it can be similar in quality to generic stock progressives.

Not everyone require freeform lens if they adjust well to stock progressive lens

No lar. Hoya good quality. Not overpriced.

Nope! Hoya is good. And remark for 245 is a good buy alr! 210 for eyezen close to spore alr..

You're right, freeform lens are definitely better since they can be optimised, but whether the increase in costs is commensurate with the increase in value in most types of usage for everyone, I'm not so sure, depends on the person. Also we have to take into account that spectacle lenses are replaced every year or more

mass market consumer lenses are perhaps most often more like a commodity product which uses branding and marketing to stand out.
