GoToSea, you still see a lot of reflections of glass surfaces?
I tried to look at light reflection, no good. Tried to rotate 60 to 90 degree, no change to the color or light... by right, it should darken and at least change color.

i paid around 198$ + frame for prescription and polarised lenses.

I might be wrong, but to check if a lens is polarised or not, one of the ways is to look at your mobile phone screen. You should see rainbow colours on the screen if it is polarised.

i am not sure about rainbow color, saw in youtube, when you rotate the glasses you should see darken on your mobile phone screen. in my case, no color change

Definitely ic berlin.
Impossible to destroy. Screwless.

Thanks for the recommendation!

Tried to go around and managed to catch a glimpse of the list price of ic Berlin frames, realized that it was around $700+. Abit to much for me now, will keep looking and consider again.

case closed, did the full refund at owndays as my pair was not polarised. Didn't want to spend more time waiting for new lenses.

Wow. So they actually smoked you for your first pair??!

I was told. A polarized lens if you rotate the lens when viewing a lcd screen, it will either turn dark or change color

I have no idea... I think it was a blunder by one of the staff. They told me that the frame that I took was half rim that is not suitable for polarised lenses. But I was charged for the price of polarised prescription lenses (extra 198$), I did confirm that I wanted polarised lenses and quoted that price.

When I came to the shop, they didnt admit that there is a mistake, and straight away say will replace for me and i need to change to full framed glasses. didnt want to waste more efforts i asked for full refund.

Yeap, definitely good. They been there for a Long time. Reliable and good service. Crowded during weekends though..

Lenses with that Budget maybe can look into hoya summit range(progressive)? There are more ranges though.

Bukit Timah got many! Can try mee Mee optics at Bukit Timah plaza.. cataract generally won't cause headaches but more of hazy vision, darker vision and darker vision.

Your doctor is an eye specialist or normal gp kind? Did he/she perform any other test for you? Scanning of eye with a machine(oct)? Eye pressure test?

Your headache could be caused by many reasons, most commonly changes in your current prescription thus reading for prolonged period of time might cause headaches.. distance headache maybe due to astig/spherical power changes..hope this helps

Recently had eyecheck. Doc said has early stage of cataract on left; no ops for now till later. But has to make specs for shortsightness and longsightness. Prescription done given below. But I like a 2nd opinion on prescription to make specs today as yesterday till now having ongoing headache. Very little knowledge on specs and eyes but do not want progressive specs. Am in late 50s. Hope budget for both specs can be at S$400 otherwise no choice; not particular on frames. Any good place to recommend like in Bt Timah area? Many thanks!!

The side looks like a lindberg. Light, comfy and stylish(imo haha)

Anyone know what glasses this ang moh is wearing? Top picture is the exact type that I'm looking for. Can't seem to find a specific model or brand which has the same design... the small small type one..

Seems like a full acrylic saddle bridge type of glasses..

For one I know, jamco at Katong shopping centre has a lot! Can check them out! There are many other shops that sells but just not listed. To save your time I suggest you call those retailers to check as some of them might have stop taking in New stocks.
