Hi Gangsterkia, my friend shared with me the details: for a person with short sighted of 500-600 degree both eyes, 1.75 presbyopia and with astig, he needs to make a pair of progressive lens for first time, which Hoya lens would you recommend and appreciate if you share the breakdown of cost. I only told him get those with less distortion lens. Ha
What is digital and blue lens and is it helpful? Sorry I am lazy to google. Thanks in advance
Hi!
I would would say lifestyle 3 or mystyle profile(recommended). These 2 lenses are actually towards the premium tier and why so?
He is a new wearer, with an addition/presbyopia of +1.75 which is considered quite high to START OFF with.
If he wears those basic entry level lenses I would strongly believe he will feel giddy and uncomfortable if he walks around with it at the start. Thus to make things easier, I would suggest a better tier lenses. If he started wearing at +1.00/1.25, we can still look towards digital lenses, or mid range progressives.
Digital lenses are lenses that allows you to view intermediate/distance/near zones with ease. Examples are Hoya sync 3, Essilor eyezen , Zeiss digital lenses.
Digital lenses is used to describe the lenses category.
Blue lens refers to lenses which are coated with the blue light filter coating. Thus one is a lens category the other is a lens coating.
Blue light filter can be applied to lenses e.g.
Hoya full control, crizal prevencia/bluecapture or Zeiss blueprotect /blue guard.
edit: it does help to reduce eye strain so I would recommend it too.
